The talent is worth it, and especially if Crews is gone, the positional need is obviously huge. He'd be one of the elite prospects in baseball the moment he signs.

If those are clearly the two best players then you take whomever the Pirates do not.  No brainer. Team needs arms and bats. If you end up with a glut at any position you have the DH or trades.  Easy peasy.
