Looks like UMD is still supposed to struggle. Do they have a new coach?  VT back to the pack in the ACC. UVA class of the local teams again. Georgetown?  Forgot to look them up.

They have Georgetown right below Richmond

Great game between Radford and ND. Radford a close game until ND took the lead with 9 seconds left and held on to win.

UMD looks for real. Finally, a good coaching hire.

Willard.

Maryland comeback falls short.  Time to fire Willard?  :hysterical:  They get another chance against UCLA.

Virginia will keep climbing in the rankings. Hokies might be ranked also?

Watching VCU and Dayton. Mongolian Mike is pretty good. 6’8” skinny guard.

Yale comes from way behind to beat Princeton and now in a three way tie including Penn. Quakers have won six in a row in the league. I believe all three have qualified for the tournament. Brown, Cornell and Harvard battling for the final spot. Tournament is at the Princeton barn this year.

there's 2 games left. the top 3 are tied at 8-4, then Cornell and Brown are at 6-6.  Yale gets both Cornell at home and Brown in Providence its last 2.  I don't know the tie-breakers.

Tough 2 point loss at Penn Friday before the Princeton game. 3 of the 4 losses were by a bucket. Cornell was the only Ivy loss by a good margin, and even in that one, I think Yale had a double digit lead with 13 or so minutes left.

Yale features a few DMV guys.  Their point guard is Bez Mbeng, who is a sophomore from Potomac and played at Good Counsel.  Another starter, their center, is from Washington and played at the Maret School (was all "state" there).  A third kid, Teo Rice, is a sophomore from Bethesda and Maret but doesn't play much.

I don’t think Penn has any guys from the DMV. They do have Jordan Dingle who is the second leading scorer in the country.  Should be a good tourney.

Bez did a good job on him but fouled out a bit early on a charge.

College basketball is so much fun, but so nerve racking. I can't sit through a Maryland game (my favorite team). Just too tense.

this is a bizarre year.  No Duke, Kentucky, Michigan, Michigan State, or North Carolina in the top-25. Gonzaga at 12. Kansas is the only perennially top team that is in the top 5 (maybe UCLA too?).

I often turn on games and then turn them off for that reason.

Turns out handing the keys to a blue blood to bad coaches is a bad idea (a good warning for Kentucky/MSU).

You would have fired Coach K after his first three years. Losing record. Need to give guys a chance. Thankless job. Gene Bartow and Joe B Hall say hello.

Coach K couldn't get past the Elite 8 in 2019 with a starting five that included Zion, RJ Barrett, Cam Reddish, and Tre Jones. That should have been his final season.  Or, maybe the previous year when he couldn't win with Grayson Allen, Wendell Carter Jr., and Marvin Bagley III as well.

One and done is tough. Calipari lost in the Elite Eight that one year with Wall, DMC and a few other NBA guys.  I think his decision to go after the one and dones made it harder to transition the team now. Looks like Izzo and Calipari might have stayed too long. The real guy looking like a genius is Jay Wright. The Sixers will be calling him after they flame out of the playoffs again with Doc.

got to be a men's game, otherwise you would have said Alabama is taking SC to overtime.
