Have there been any D1 Mens teams that have hired a woman as a head coach? There must have been, but I can't think of any tournament teams. At this point, tbh, it's getting a little weird. I suppose a Staley or a Freese make enough $$$ so the Ionas of the world (schools that take basketball seriously but are outside the power conferences) probably can't outbid a major program from a state school, but you'd figure concepts, drills, strategy etc... would transfer. I also suppose that, when you are on a run like Staley, you maybe want to keep it self perpetuating. I'm sure that figured into Geno Auriama's thinking in UConn's prime.
