I figured his AFL performance so far merits a FTP thread. I'd guess he starts next year at Harrisburg.

He slipped under the radar this year but was just promoted to Rochester today. Made his debut tonight: 2IP, 1H, 2BB, 1K, 0ER. He's also going to the AFL for the 2nd consecutive year.

At Harrisburg he threw 20.2 IP with a 3.92 ERA and 1.50 WHIP. 19Ks/10BBs.

Looks like organizational depth at this point or the next Machado.

Dominating run at Harrisburg. 17 innings without an ER, 30Ks in that stretch. 0.82 WHIP

Saw him last night, MiLB TV, throwing 96 and 97. Hitters seemed to give up. And then he would throw a nice breaking ball. Have to keep an eye on Ribalta.

the 3 names in the bullpen that Nationals Arm Race touted at the start of the year in the AA bullpen were Schoff, Ribalta, and Jack Sinclair.

Last night was my first time really looking at this guy's numbers doing the monthly recap. How has he not replaced Rainey yet? Seems like he's currently the best relief prospect by far.

The North American Society of Cherry-Picked Short-term Stats says that since 6/20, or about a month, at AAA, Ribalta has made 10 appearances,12.2 IP, with 1.42 ERA, 18 Ks, and 5 BBs. 40 K%, 11.1 BB%. BAA .100, with a WHIP of 0.71. Will guess he's ready for a call up when a roster slot opens (trade of Floro most likely).

FWIW, of the 4 of the 5 BBs came against Buffalo and Worcester, AL East AAA teams. That was also 8 of his Ks. I wonder if the AL teams teach more grinding ABs, deep counts, etc...

Agreed. They should have DFA'd Barnes, who is done with this team in a month, and kept Ribalta up to give him a chance to pitch.
