The Mets are in agreement on a contract with Justin Verlander, reports Andy Martino of SNY. Former ball player Carlos Baerga reported last night on Instagram that the Mets and Verlander had a two-year, $86.8MM deal. Baerga reported that there was a mutual option for 2025 but Martino says it’s a vesting option. According to Jon Heyman of The New York Post, the two-year deal is worth $86MM, but the details on the option aren’t yet publicly known.

This seems incredibly team friendly. Maybe he just doesn't care about the money any more just so long as it's more or less the right number of zeroes give or take a couple.

He would have been a perfect signing for the Nats. If he hits you can trade him for soemthing of value at the deadline.

One of the SF chronicle beat writers tonight says there’s a lot of rumbling that Judge is coming to the Giants. They signed Mitch Haniger as well to a 3 year deal
And Judge takes his talents to …. the Bronx. 9 year / $360 million deal to stay with the Yankees
