Rich Hill will be 43 in March and has gotten worse every season since 2019 (not surprisingly).
There is an article on MLB trade rumors saying he is open to sitting out the first few months and the signing with a contender. Even if the Nats were interested don’t think he will be.

I will keep pushing Kyle Gibson. Innings eater. Has faded down the stretch the past two seasons.  He is on the Phillies post season roster so far but has only pitched one inning. The one inning was not bad and he threw hard. He’s not very good but therefore not super expensive and he seems to be healthy. Can probably get him cheaper for two years.
