I'll beat the dead horse here, but that game was damn near over until they pulled Gausman, who had just gotten most of the way out of a bases-loaded-no-outs, for a dude who wouldn't be in the majors if he threw with his right arm. 

Don't put bad pitchers in with the bases loaded and you'll give up a lot fewer runs.

This.  All of this after the Mariners had left Sewald out for an eternity and they were able to run the score up in the 6th.

This is why. Some jerk reliever wanders in from then pen and takes fifteen minutes (literally) to throw 26 pitches to three batters and record zero outs.
