Max, Soto, Schwarber and Harper are not exactly off to a blistering post season so far.  Just Bell doing anything good.

I always felt like Max could have paced himself a bit better through the season as he always looked a bit broken down in the post season.  He is probably at a stage in his career where he would do well with a late career Clemens schedule where he ramped up in June or July.

Thats pretty much what he got this year. Went to the IL in mid May, didnt come back until mid July

I know he had a a couple rough outings but don’t recall anything that bad.

Is there any way the Mets and Padres can both be eliminated in this series?  That's the option I'm voting for.

reminds me of the early 2000s Tour de France, where they stripped Lance of the wins but refused to award them to anyone else because the entire top 5 or 10* each year had some drug connection.

* Cycling trivia point for Ali and EN - I think David Moncoutie is acknowledged as clean and having affirmatively refused to dope. HE finished as high as 13th and won the top climber award in the Vuelta (tour of spain, one of the big 3 races) multiple times. Might have been the only French TdF champ in the last 30+ had they simply decided to give award the highest placed provably clean rider.

I didn’t watch the end of the game. Did the fans stuck around or head to the exits?  Cards fans headed to the exit after the top of the ninth. I for one was 😳 that the best fans in baseball would do that. LOL.

Game 3 awaits.  And then probably a beat down for one by the trash can bangers.

What a meltdown by Toronto.  The announcer said you don’t want to use your closer in game two if you don’t have to.  Then they are forced to bring him in with guys on base and it backfires.
