Zach Eflin would be a potential guy for the Nats. He made about $6 million this year but there is a mutual option of $15 million for 2023. Don’t see anyway the Phillies sign off on that as a couple of their young arms are close to ready.  Career ERA around 4.50 but closer to 4.00 over the past four years. But chronic knee issues. Would probably be better off heading to the pen but I doubt he would want to do that. Give him a one year deal with maybe a second year option. Not sure what he would cost given the knee problems which flare up every year?

Kayla must hate La Cicciolina!
That is a very good analogy.  With Molina and Pujols as the ayatollahs and Harper as Saddam.

Thoroughly enjoying the results so far today.  I bet on the Padres tonight so probably the kiss of death for them.

That was an enjoyable half inning. I did not have the audio on. Were Kay and A-Roid still talking about the Yankees?

Like you, I didn't have the audio on.

Darvish is rocking to something on his ear buds.  Look out Mutts.

Game. After one pitch, Max clearly doesn't have it.

How long is the contract?  He still pitches well but not $43 million well. Wonder what they will do about DeGrom next year?

Three years

Uncle Stevie will give him 3/150, and Mets fans will get to enjoy a combined 26 starts

Max, Soto, Schwarber and Harper are not exactly off to a blistering post season so far.  Just Bell doing anything good.

I always felt like Max could have paced himself a bit better through the season as he always looked a bit broken down in the post season.  He is probably at a stage in his career where he would do well with a late career Clemens schedule where he ramped up in June or July.
