1993 and Joe Carter sticks in my craw but I would not mind seeing them make it. Also rooting for Seattle and Cleveland.

Seattle vs Cleveland winner will by who I root for in the AL, and I think I like the Dodgers players. Root for Max when he starts, root for Schwarbs, too.

edit - oops. Seattle gets Toronto, so my rooting will be Guardians over Toronto and Seattle of Tampa, then whoever wins those games to beat NYY and Houston, and any of those 4 teams over NYY or Houston if they get to the NLCS.

In the NL, it might be the overdogs, but I'm rooting for LAD. I'll also root for the Phillies in the first round and be neutral in the Padres / Mets. Machado neutralizes pulling for Bell, and Soto v Max is a toss up.

I can't believe circumstances compel me to root for the Phillies and Mets.

But when they're facing off against the baseball equivalents of Verizon and Microsoft, there's not much choice.
