Nationals Park Certificate of Occupancy
« Topic Start: September 16, 2022, 03:48:17 PM »
This almost seems unbelievable that this hasn’t been dealt with in 15 years. The temporary certificate expires on Sept 30. And there are still games to play after than.

The Lerners took over the ballpark refusing to pay rent until every item on their punch list was fixed and even asked the city to pay for the players uniforms. Now that it seems like the Lerners did not comply with the terms of the contract to open retail space from the first base side of the ballpark hopefully the city can get some payback. Sure would be a nice bonus for season plan holders to get the last two games refunded if the team can't host the games at Nats Park.

Who is "events dc?" Is it the Lerners or is it a city development entity?

Probably a good thing we didn't make the playoffs this year. They might have had to move the games to RFK.

Looks like the zoning board is meeting on Sep 29 and surely they won't evict the Nats from their stadium. But if they did, it would surely surpass the time the name was misspelled on the jersey as the most embarrassing moment in franchise history.

That would of been fun.
