I'm a little surprised that Robles is out vs a lefty

Cruz just doesn’t add anything to this team. I believe that DM and Rizzo play him as they don’t want to garner a rep for treating vets poorly in their last season as an active player.

Bad throw by Garcia but Voit is terrible at 1B.

Voit should just DH. I would rather see Joey at 1B and Palacias in LF.

One problem with playing Cruz: Voit goes to 1B and he is a bad fielder.

Yes! A lead! And a double for Vargas.

Garcia had the double and Vargas a single to knock him in.

And one of those famous shut-down innings from the Nats' crafty righty.

Well, the Nats were not going to shut out the Cardinals again.

Always has been. Which is fine because every pen needs a guy like that

As we near the end of the season, I don’t see much point or upside in playing Cruz anymore. The Nats seem to play better without him in the lineup.

Espino was credible for a few innings, not a bad nightcap after 3 laugher wins in a sunk season.

Disappointing for the best fans in baseball. As the scares broadcasters continually referred to the Cards fans. I’ve even seen a couple fans of color there the past two games. Amazing.
