Mo Wagner thinks it is the Bundesliga with a flop that draws a flagrant 2. Does not even miss a minute

Luka gets 60/20/10. First in NBA history to do that.

Too bad they botched Brunson so badly. The have a generational player with a terrible supporting cast and no assets to improve it

Doesn’t matter.  Brunson is in no way worth that contract.   Luka is a transcendent player.   He’s going to win multiple titles

He’s not winning titles alone and the mavs have no assets to get him help. If he wins titles, it will be on his next team

Last year I told you they didn’t have money to sign Brunson and you told me I was wrong. Agree generally on Brunson not being worth it but they somehow need a second star. Problem for them is they are a top ten payroll team but not a top ten roster. 19-16 this year. No championship until they surround him with better players. Jordan couldn’t do it alone. Lebron could not although he got a ragtag Cleveland team to the finals one year.

Someone walking for nothing is the worst thing that can happen to an NBA roster, good GMs find a way to flip players they can't or won't resign for something. The Mavs don't have any young players that teams will be willing to trade for stars. Their picks are encumbered for years, even then, what team is trading a star for a picks that will likely be in the 20s? If Luca ever wins a ring, it's because he's moved on from Dallas to a better situation.

Nothing to do with payroll.  NBA is a salary cap league

Went to the WC finals last season.   You are wild.   Did they beat the Suns?

Yes.   They are better than the Suns this year.  Why is that, despite the Mavs missing all of their real secondary players?

Luka is unstoppable in the playoffs.  No other superstar can do anything like him to take over a game

Dumbest thing ever.   Imagine wanting to be some team like the Hawks or Wizards?   Teams with multiple wannabe stars.

Not really. You can sign your own and pay the luxury tax to do it. You can not sign other team's free agents if you are over. The best teams are very much over the cap.

What Luka is doing right now is historic.  Mavs are playing right now with multiple G league guys due to injury

Does anyone else feel like this has been the best season in recent memory for individual performances? Luka, Durant, Jokic all seem to put up absurd numbers every night. Ja and Zion are putting up great offensive stretches. That’s not even mentioning Tatum and Embid

I’m sure Luka will love playing with a ball dominant guard

I think it will help Dallas. They did not have a strong supporting cast or an effective #2.  If he stays focused on basketball which is questionable of course.

Wonder if Durant will be traded or if the Nets can make a trade to appease him. He must be pissed but that is what happens when you hitch your wagon to a crazy dude.

Tommy needs to work out a deal. Send Pingus, Davis, and Barton plus some draft picks to Brooklyn.

That would not be enough. No one wants Davis. He cannot even score in the G League. The Wizards are unable to trade a first round pick until 2028 because of the Wall trade.
