Nice clean top of the first. Wide strike zone kind of helped for at least one of the outs.

With a lead-off double, there goes the no-hitter.

I remain safely on the Lane Train. I am overly optimistic he can be a capable #4 OF on a winning team. And a passable starter on bad teas.

They gotta figure out how to fix Thomas' CF defense in the offseason

Only giving up one run is a bit of a victory for Waldichuk.

how hard does Waldo throw?

Also, does he sort of blend in with the crowd?

It doesn't matter, because he does it with his left arm.  But he would blend in better with a red hat and some stripes.

So where is the praise for Meneses's RBI and then going 1st to 3rd on a single?

It's just refreshing to have a guy perform like an average major leaguer.

Also, nice to see Vargas at SS.  If we end up with an MLB minimum backup infielder with him, I'll take it.

I'm not watching the game, just making mean comments about left-handed ex-NYY prospects on the internet.

Now GTF off my lawn.

Edit: watching now; still ill-tempered.

I'm just gamedaying it after 4 hours of meetings.  Productive!

"Garcia waving at a slider way off the plate" was a brutally correct Kolko PBP call that Carpenter would never touch.

That's because he would be following the Cards game.

So Gameday says "On Deck Call."  Doesn't say who I should call to find out who is on deck.

Are there a bunch of birds flying around the field?

Looked like a routine throw. Voit’s footwork at first is not very good.

Yeah.  They've landed in the outfield several times.

Voit has to lay down to catch it.

Garcia's fielding range is equivalent to Vince Vaughn's acting range.
