Weird to see Andy Kaufman alive and talking to Strasburg.

Strasburg was our last rookie to win their first start.

Not throwing near as hard as advertised.   Getting blasted by a terrible team

Betrayed by his defense but we can also see why they did not bring him up earlier.  Still needs to learn to pitch. The hit batsman in the first was a real killer.

It’s not really he needs to learn to pitch, it’s that his fastball is not upper echelon.   Think he’s hit 97 once tonight.   Sitting 93-95.   His secondary pitches are better than advertised

93-95 is fine if you know where the pitches are going. He does not. And more so on his breaking balls.

Better team than the Nats.

During a recent Yankees game, I saw a chyron about their upcoming series at Oakland noting the As had the second-worst home record in baseball. I wondered whose record was worst ...  for about a second. Oh yeah.

Not going to win a pitcher gold glove that way.  Almost no way to field a ball with that finish. Hard to believe they have not worked on that. Oh well. That’s the Nats.
