Vivas has posted a 105 wRC+ against RHP since June 1. Between that and Toboni giving up a prospect for him, he's gonna be around for a couple year

I didn't realize how hard he was hitting the ball.

With his crazy positional versatility, I hope for his sake he gets out of DC and goes somewhere where a youngish, cost controlled utility infielder is valuable and not just one of a dozen players needing major league ABs.

He has really leaned into the pull and swing hard approach.

The problem is he has a ton of whiff and doesn't walk.

OPSing 1.096 against LHP. Could at least platoon with Vivas at 2B. Problem is, we seem to be accumuluating a ton of short-sided platoon players ...

Bring him up. Put him at 2B (or 3B or SS). Yes, Toboni might be attached to Vivas, but Tena? And with the bottom order of Vivas and Nunez?

does require  him being added back to the 40 man roster, but at some point, it might be worth it. I could see it happening in September if they don't want to cut either of those guys or Tena.

Tough roster call for the off-season. Between him and Wallace and maybe Morales, the Nats could lose a position player to rule 5  in the offseason. He's probably shown enough to be a utility guy for somebody next year.

I really get the feeling Lipscomb is going to have to go the Japan route to get back in the league. He could have been traded for at any point this year and they didn't find any takers.

Standard decision? They hit left-handed? I would have packed them up, with Kranick and Cosgrove, and Franklin.
