Abbott is younger than I thought. Looks like a soft tosser (cue Natsie). Sometimes that works better against a hot team than the high velocity. Did not see his previous game.

Watching the Phillies broadcast and the game is secondary as they are having various members of the 1980 championship parade through the booth. Only the Phanatic has not aged. Had forgotten that Ruben Amaro Junior was a bat boy on the team. At least he did something useful. They showed Tim McCarver on the field. He looked really frail. Looked it up and he is 80 so that explains it some. Gregg Gross was there. Had a decent MLB career. Considered a very good hitter but looked it up and only a career OPS of. .723. He noted only 7 career HRs. Bet he would not even get a shot nowadays.

I guess he was running and didn’t look? He is supposed to be a good baserunner also. Maybe he was getting some tips from Victor before the game.
