As bad as he has been, is he really worse than Sanchez?  Gray is getting beat up too.

they have no starters that are ready to be called up. For some reason, they've had ample guys who should be out of the rotation but have not called up Cavalli. There's got to be  a reason for that.  They really have not thought he was ready or he would have been up weeks ago.

He's not materially worse than Sanchez.  Nor is he worse than Adon, the most obvious alternative.  Gray, all you care about is his development and his psyche.  I'd see if you can get a single decent 5 inning start out of him and then shut him down right after.
