If his arm is healthy today, then, somehow, Susana is OK. Surprising to me. The announcers were keeping count of his fastballs over 100 mph, and I think they said he had eight or nine.

I miss a "d". I assumed he was off to surgery We'll see how he feels in a couple days. If he tells team his arm is sore, they may send him to surgery.

Also, it has to be weird for pitchers to hear people talk about surgery so casually. No surgery involving you is ever routine.

Nope. But I'd rather take it easy. If you want to give him a September call up and pitch him a game or two out of the pen, Im down

I think he is what he is. I'm with Slate. I'm not certain I'd even waste time in Rochester. Call him up, give him a cup of coffee in September, then figure out next Spring if he is back of your rotation or starting Rochester.

The fact he is living 100+ makes me expect eventually this bird may be too beautiful for this world, so get him up and see what we have sooner than later.

I'd like to get some MLB innings before that UCL blows out.

They don't have to add him to the MLB roster until the end of next year, so there's a judgment call about when to start his clock and options. If you think there's a chance that he won't start the season in Washington next year, then there's a risk to premature call up. Also, if you think the UCL is still dicey, then you probably don't want a Cavalli scenario in which he accrues service time on the 60 day IL for a year plus.
