It’s encouraging we have multiple promising guys as the next “wave” of pitching prospects with Irvin, Gore, Parker, Herz, Gray, and Cavalli all the current younger guys.  As those guys have injuries or as guys like Gore hit free agency, we should have in-house replacements.

Not top 100 at MLB Pipeline. Kind if curious, as you could argue he's been as good as Syroka

I think the prior years and the start of this year is being held against him. Old news, around too long. I do think him, Sykora, and Clemmey are interchangeable in terms of who has the best future.

It sure says something about prospect evaluation when being hyped by the Preller hype-to-trade machine hurts your value down the line, doesn't it?

I'm happy to have a bunch of high-upside guys finally, even though some won't work out.  I'd also say from seeing the FredNats a few times that the coaching seems to be improving.  Even the lower-upside guys seem to have a plan that they're working towards, and it's fairly consistent.

Seven starts at Wilmington. First five were good to very good. Sixth was pretty bad. Seventh was Corbin-level bad.

Not ready to write him off after the season he's having but lets see where he goes from here. He has thrown almost 89 innings this year after only throwing 63 last year. We'll see if they shut him down at some point. Oh, and he's only 20.

I'm not discouraged at all with his last two outings.  Progression is not linear.  He has shown the ability.....

Fair enough. It’s just that no one seems to post on most of these guys when they do bad. It should be labeled the Sunshine Squad Farm section. I just happened to look at the scores last night.

Sure but you still have to be able to throw strikes.

I'm still quite psyched for him, Sykora, and Clemmey. They are 20 years 5 months, 20 years 4 months, and 19 years 1 month of age.

Unless he follows up a bad start with pure ugliness through the end of the season, I am putting him in the "big step forward" category this season right next to Elijah Green.

Here’s his stats.  Last year was a disaster.  This year a bit better. And of course moving up. We will see how he does next year.

I know he moved up but after all the positive talk here was surprised to see the stats.  He does strike out people but gives up walks. And runs. I don’t think he’s better than 50/50 to make it as a decent MLB pitcher.
