In terms of size, you can see the shoulders getting up from his slide.

That’s a coordinated, reasonably short swing for someone so long-levered.

Somebody said he looks like O'Neil Cruz.  I think that's right, but the shoulders might be bigger.

Wood and the rest of the team are on MLB TV right now. Of course the team is losing 3-0 already in the first.

Struck out on three pitches first at bat. He is all legs.  Seriously. His upper body seems small in proportion to his legs.

I don't know about that. Up thread there's video of him sliding into 2nd base on a double. Shoulders are huge

Daddy long legs. Just saying his legs seem long in proportion to his body. Have no idea if that is a good thing or not.

Makes me remember the Merv Griffin show when he would have Arthur Treacher and Totie Fields sit next to each other. Same Height when sitting down. And then they would stand up…

So, James Wood plays for Fredericksburg.

I went to James Wood High School in Frederick County. Spooky.

Probably no reason to move him up this late in the season. Is he a lock for Wilmington next season? Or do you think they'll get greedy and take a look at Harrisburg?

He's 19. May as well push him to High A. No reason to rush him

I say finish him out in high a then send him to the fall league.  If he keeps up this dominant play in Arizona, then aa to start next year

I think no matter how he finishes this year you see how he does in the spring before making a decision. Probably start Wilmington. He can always be promoted quickly if he does well.

But he struck out again.  Low floor.
