Just make that a HR and he is Kyle Schwarber.  Or Joey Gallo.

And then a long fly that might have been a HR on a warmer day.

Seems to be figuring out AAA.

They can call him up as early as Apr 13 without accruing a full season of service time.  If he's got a .400+ OBP with 100-150 PAs, he should get the call.  Waiting until August when he would lose RoY eligibility would be so ridiculous...even for this org.

Only needs to be there until Saturday to avoid a year of service time.  If they wait until August to prevent RoTY eligibility, this case could end up rewriting the rules of the next CBA.

If they are all playing well enough, I'd sort of like to see House, Wood, and Crews all called up after 8/15 so they maintain rookie status for next year Opening Day. Take 3 shots at the RotY bonus rather than dribbling them in.

I do want to see some progress from Wood on Ks. It's not like he hasn't anything still to work on. That said, Judge never quite could get the Ks out of his game, either.

I was one that was OK with Wood breaking camp to try and get the ROY incentive.

But since he's down, might as well leave him there for a bit. I'm not in the August camp to preserve the incentive, but you might as well let him get settled in. Small sample, but hes made some strides. The overnthe fence power isn't there yet, and we should see sustained success(and confidence that goes with it) of limiting K's.

I'd see where he is on May 1 and then start to think about a promotion.

Crews and House I'd probably wait to see until August/September to get their feet wet.

Whose place would he take?  Winker? Gallo?  And when Victor gets back we of course need to give him a full season because of that potential!

DFA Rosario, Wood starts in LF, Winker off the bench.

Check out his 2nd double tonight deep into the gap (first one went down the 3rd base line):

Perhaps even more exciting than his triple slash, he's only got a 15.6% K rate (including tonight). Something seems to have clicked.

Anyone. You're not letting the likes of Rosario, Winker, Robles, or Gallo get in the way of a potential star.

Well I was being tongue in cheek because Imref had just posted that Gallo and Winker were tearing it up.   And several posters here want Vic to keep playing.

But I can’t see the Lerners paying guys like Gallo and not playing them.

Gallo is at 1st so doesn’t effect wood.  Winker needs to play to be able to move him at the deadline.  We should roll with wood/Thomas/winker between woods call up and the deadline

I think Wood would fit in CF in a Winker / Wood / Thomas outfield. Robles already was a platoon bat / defensive replacement and could still do that if he comes back. As for Young, he could fill the Robles role.

If Holliday is coming up, then is MLB past the point where a guy gets a full year's service if stays in MLB? May be irrelevant for Wood if he's RotY.
