He is marginal cant play SS at a level needed in the majors, cant hit a ball at a clutch time in a game and has serious issues with keeping his head on straight. Trade him now extend woods and lets try to go

Wood is a Boras client. Its very difficult to get them to sign extensions.

I also happen to think that the Nats ownership group doesn't particularly care about signing extensions or even winning. They simply want to generate revenue that increases the value of the team.

He won't move before extension, we won't move him before a trade becomes impossible. It's frustrating. No one in the majors would trade him to be SS.

one year  of arb isn't going to make Young unaffordable. Smart move might have been to deal him at this deadline.
