Hassell, House, Wood, and Green haven't even gotten to AA yet.  With dudes like that, you don't worry about batch/sequencing them until they get far enough along toward proving they will be MLB players at all, let alone guys worth freaking with their arb years.
well, Hassell is supposed to be more advanced than the other two.  BA has him possibly being AA this year and milb.com has him being MLB ready sometime in 2023.

I'll be curious about how quick he moves up.  Do they hold off his debut until 2024 to get more peak years?  Do they try to bring him up with others in a batch / class?  dribbling in Abrams, Hassell, and De La Rosa (one of these things is not like the others) in '22 and '23, before Wood, House, Green, begins to chew up years of control.  I do wonder how hard nosed the new leadership is going to be about team control and arb.  Lerner/Rizzo seemed oblivious to Super 2 status, for example.
It would be amazing if House, Wood, or Green were MLB ready in 2024. Thats wildly optimistic.

I think it would be absurd, too.  more likely 2026, at least for House and Green.

Which is right about when ownership will be looking to trade Abrams, Gore, and Gray, cus we wont be able to afford them

MLB.com is often wildly too soon with ETAs.  And I wouldn't oppose sending him to AA for a couple weeks in September.  But for a guy who still has some questions of defensive fit and who isn't even 21 yet, it's a lot.  A+ to AA is a big jump and for a guy that young, I'd tend to be a bit conservative.

If Hassell, Wood, or House are destined to be All Stars, you'll see them in 2024 or 2025 because they'll force their way up. If they're looking at 2026 debuts, it's likely they're not on their best case scenario paths.

Baseball Perspecta's arrivals from the Futures Guide:

Wood - 2025
Hassell III - 2024
Wood - 2025

That's much more realistic.  Thanks for posting it.

A walk is as good as a hit.  For OPS anyway.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2022/08/10/robert-hassell-juan-soto-trade/

Quote
Hassell was a top prospect from Franklin, Tenn., who committed to play at Vanderbilt, a perennial college powerhouse. He was selected with the eighth overall pick by the Padres in the 2020 draft. He called himself a contact-first hitter who can spray the ball to all fields and use his speed to take extra bases. In two seasons in the minors, he has a .296 batting average and has stolen 56 bases, and he believes there is power in his game.

“I’ve had 10-plus home runs both years I’ve been a Padre,” Hassell said before he stopped and smiled. “A Padre and National now.”

He continued: “I can be that guy. I got the power, and what I’ve learned about myself is I got the [opposite field] juice, too. But I focus on putting the bat on the ball; when you put the bat on the ball, good things are going to happen.”

Hassell having a plan to go play for Cobin at Vanderbilt is a pretty big deal IMO. Corbin doesn't freak around and kids who want to play for him understand that and approach their craft in the same way.
