Smithian is beginning to persuade me that the Nats ought to bring up Andrew Stevenson. I'd take him over Cruz, though, since Cruz seems to be finished. Yes, yes, the Nats spent money on Cruz, but that does not require them to put him in the lineup day now. Maybe they hoped to flip him, but is there a chance that a team will trade for a 42 year old DH hitting a consistent .235 this year? After the trade deadline, let Cruz retire. At least Stevenson can pinch-run sometimes, or play OF in place of Thomas or Robles.
