Somebody put something into his water or he got a call from Kevin McGonigle, hit his third tonight and is now batting .500 over his last 10 ABs with 2 HRs.

4th HR last night.  Still below the mendoza line but he's been a lot better over his last 10 games or so.

Power surge or not, I cringe every time I see this thread updated. Guess he has millions for his struggles.

Green doing Green things again this year: 7 HRs, 10 SBs, but .182 / .272 / .418 with 62Ks in 110 ABs and just 13 BBs.

Not sure where he goes from here, but he just can't make regular contact. Still only 22 though.

He's only 22 but he has 3 years of professional baseball under his belt. Time to move on.

2-4, 2-2Bs yesterday. Average up to .204, with a .706 OPS.  10HR, 20SB.  Not a complete bust yet....

Much improved June, but still no reason to think he's going anywhere: .243 / .361 /.386, 2HR, 9SB. 34Ks in 70 ABs (13 BBs)

On other hand, still his best season yet. If it continues I'd throw him to Harrisburg next year just to see what happens.

If this dude can find a way to have a .320 OBP with his K rate, he's a unicorn.

Obviously, he loves baseball. Otherwise he  would be playing FBS football at a power conference school.

Here's hoping he becomes the next Bob Allison! College football and baseball player, who covered CF in Griffith Stadium so well that he became RoY, with 30 homers. Heard Allison hit a line dive half-way up the Griffith Stadium LF bleachers. Looked like a cannon-shoy, sounded like a cannon shot. Stalwart on the Nats/Twins team that won the 1965 AL Pennant

Give some serious, no bullcrap credit to this kid, he's earned it. Those first few years were disgusting and sad to see, and he kept grinding. Rubber meets the road in AA, but he has shown in A+ he can stabilize his hitting just enough so you can squint and see a prospect.

If he stays north of the Mendoza line in AA, I'll predict someday he is a major league bench player. Plus defense, great pinch runner, and a pinch hitter who has a chance to put it over the wall.

I don't know which minor league staff worked with him on his swing reset last year, but they gave him a second chance at his career. Give them a raise.
