hit his 4th on Sunday. Grant Paulson noted it was the 2nd hardest hit ball in all of the minors so far this season (116 MPH)https://x.com/granthpaulsen/status/1789831947725725750LF barely moved.
His OPS is now .664. Which is bad, but is above his terrible 2023 Fredericksburg line. Any signs of progress for this kid should be applauded. The massive power is nice. The creeping upward OPS is appreciated.
Saw him hit in the second inning. He looks like a modern super-star, at least in the making. Size of a horse, strong, and as fast as a race-horse. But he struck out swinging, missing badly on a pitch that started outside and fluttered so far that no one could have hit it.
Nationals Player DevelopmentA three-hit night for Elijah Green, matching a career-high 👀Our @MLBPipeline No. 7 prospect reached base four times on Saturday for @FXBGNats (3-for-4, 2B, RBI, BB) and has now reached base in four straight games.
nice night for Green last night: 2-5, R, HR(9), 2RBI, 2K, SB(25)Average up to .189, OPS up to .601. If he ever starts making regular contact he's going to be a stud.
It’s been very rough, but he’s still extremely young and if he ever does figure it out in the coming years, that ceiling is still there. Let’s hope some coach at some point can unlock it.
