If we're doing chants, this evening, then our 2022 Nationals deserve an old English soccer perennial... ;)  (for the uninitiated, it's to the chorus of 'Go West', by Pet Shop Boys,so the line repeats four times...)

'You're s**t - and you know you are...'
"Schiri, wir wissen wo dein Auto steht!"

 - "Hey ref/ump, we know where you parked your car"

(to the tune of 'Cwm Rhonnda' / 'Bread Of Heaven')

'Who's the b**tard?
 Who's the b**tard
Whos the b**tard in the black?
 Who's the b**tard in the black?... ;)

I can just imagine such chants ringing around Nats Park... :hysterical:

If they trade Bell and Soto - which now seems like an actual possibility - there's a decent argument that only one guy they put out there tonight (Ruiz) should be on a major league roster.

It's that bad.  Except for those dudes and Gray, you could swap the rest of this team for a good AAA team and not notice much difference.  I'm not trying to be churlish, just observing the fact that if you subtract the above, I would happily deal the rest of that team (even irrespective of some bad contracts) for the Marlins' AAA roster.

I wondered if that was why 'Nationals News' ran their 'Get to know the young prospects' article - as they'll soon be the starters... :hysterical:
