He didn’t swing on the pitch. He was called out on a clear ball.
It would have been tied with him on first and a home run on the next pitch

I was talking about Bell swinging at a pitch about 9 inches off the plate to end the game.

I believe the Nats are like 5.5 games clear of the fourth place team. And they haven’t even begun making trades.

As I mentioned during Gray's last start, Scherzer won the Cy Young while leading the NL in homeruns allowed. Strikeout pitchers who pound the zone are going to have their mistakes go far.
Gray's home run rate is almost double what Scherzer's was. Gray isnt "pounding the zone." He's leaving a below average fastball up in the zone.
