this may be an opener thing.  Looks like this is the first game Swanson has started this year after 23 appearances and less than 23 innings.  Micro ERA.

I think you're right. Swanson will open and Milone is still in line to pitch.

Vintage Fedde

Gete up 0-2, next two pitched are nowhere near the plate, then hangs a breaking ball.

Fedde got to 70 pitches and suddenly decided he was done. Im betting that after the game, we'll find out he wasnt feeling well.

That narrative was presaged with the mound visit and the batboy bringing him water.

For the 2022 Nationals, having anything to put on a highlight reel counts as a win, so with the Soto HR, I guess we can can post the 2022 pseudo-W.

Notwithstanding Fedde's problems there at the end of his outing, another wasted pretty good performance by the pitching staff.

If I counted right, then it is 2 six game losing streaks around one win.

Yup.  But fear not, zombie Anibal Sanchez makes his first regular season start since 2020 (6.62 ERA at age 36 translates to what at 38?) tomorrow against a team that's only won about 700 games and a World Series since then!

I suppose last night's trend of stripey sleeves - Ronald Mc Donald style - is so appropriate fpr our 2022 Nationals... :hysterical:
