Notes: Anderson gave up 4 ER in 4 IP his previous start vs. the Nats at Nats Park on 6/13. This is Espino's first start vs. Barves this year. He had a 3 inning relief appearance on 4/12 when he gave up 3 runs (1 HR). Espino's overall ERA is good, but he's been much better as a releiver than as a starter. He has a 4.91 ERA over 5 starts and 22 IP this year.
Robles gets a start in CF. With Cesar getting a day off, top of the order looks different, with Garcia and Bell batting in front of Soto. With 3 lefty hitters and 3 switch hitters in the top 7, looks like Davey is taking advantage of a platoon advantage, but Anderson has had much more success against lefties (157 batters faced, OPS .634, wOBA .291) than righties (203 batters faced, OPS .888, wOBA .383)
