I wonder whether the stadium has asbestos insulation, given when it was built, such that burning it down might be impractical.

I wouldn't be surprised if there were homeless people somewhere in there who were lighting fires.

Documents related to the demolition RFP are freely available online (first result if you Google "rfk demolition rfp") and they seem to indicate that there's a ton of asbestos in the building.
