This is actually encouraging and maybe leaking this will piss off Beal and have him demand a trade.  Of course pulling it off won’t be easy.

Would not be surprised if Lovero for this backwards. Would make more sense to me that way.

You can’t match salary without gutting a roster. I’m sure we’ll take an equally bad contract back at some point, but I don’t see getting rid of him leading to more assets

No. It would just be part of a rebuild. If you remember they unloaded Gil for Rashard Lewis who basically didn’t play anymore. If you can work getting bad contracts that expire quicker than Beal’s that works. Probably need two or three contracts to match Bea.

To me they just need to tank for a few years and get a few top five picks. Only way out. Hope a new GM does not go for keeping their Big Three together. Tommy blamed it on injuries but their record with all three on the court was bad.

Probably nothing will happen the off-season and maybe next trade deadline if Beal wants to force it.

Also Wall for Westbrook. We're masters at this. I want to rebuild and trading Beal is part of that, but there are some delusional fans who think we're getting a star or a pick haul in return. If anything, I could see us sending picks to convince a team to take him
