I think it was the later too. I think Ted wants to sell ticks and thinks the race for the last play in seed is a way to do it. Best case for this team is that Beal gets hot, KP is healthy and the win the playin and their first round playoff opponent has their star sidelined by injury. Even that just gets them a second round exit
So depressing.
