Bob sounds depressed. Probably regrets not retiring in the off-season.

Anyone know what guys are hitting against Adon the eighth time through the order?  We might find out by about the fifth.

I guarantee our hitters won’t make any adjustments and he’ll keep mowing them down second time through the order.

Throwing to first should count as a ball if the guy gets back without needing to slide.  Just an utter waste of time.

In a shocker, Carpenter is defending a white dude who used to play for the Cardinals.

Adon still in at 86 pitches? Davey's in the "I just don't care anymore" mode.

Adon goes 5, allows 4ER, all things considered that's not bad. 7H, 6Ks, BB, threw a lot of strikes (97 pitches, 64 strikes).

A 7.2 era is not bad? Oh, how easily we lower our standards.

At this point 5 innings is a positive.

Needs to be asked, if Soto's knee is such a big deal that he is jogging on a double play, then why is he even playing?

In context - a AAA callup for a doubleheader start against a good lineup who gets sent down right after - it's passable.  5 innings and kept them in the game.  Obviously, 2 or 3 runs would be much better, but it's not a mystery that Adon isn't ready yet.

Soto doesn't want to play here anymore.  Needs to be traded while he still has some value.
