Speaking of hard contact...  let Meat go 90 pitches. Down 5, just suck it up and save the pen

Feel bad for Jackson. Fed to the wolves. Up crap creek without a paddle.

Whose idea was it to call up a rookie to make his debut vs the hottest team in baseball? Low class move by the franchise. Setting him up for failure.

The kid is decent but looks like he wasn't pitching with any authority. Afraid to get his fastball anywhere near the plate and the 2 breaking balls that got sent into orbit each looked like they had a spin rate of a knuckleball.

I know there’s not much for Bob and Dan to discuss these days, but I think we need to stop reminiscing about 2019.

It would be one thing if it was just a little nostalgic reminder of recent glory, but with a team that is not even trying to be competitive, the constant trips down memory lane are annoying.

Another L.

Was there, all the Braves homers were no doubters off the bat. This roster is so bad, lmbo, it seems like somehow we even lack the AAAA depth we had when we were terrible a decade or so ago.

there was that thread comparing the roster to 2009. I might take that roster.

The benchmark seasons look like 2008-2010 and 2021, with the 3 prior worst records being 2009, 2008, and 2021.  The 2020 Nats finished 4 games ahead of this team through 60 games. By win percentage:

2022 - .359 (23-41) - in progress
2009 - .364 (59-103)
2008 - .366 (59-102)
2021 - .401 (65-97)
2010 - .426 (69-93) (niiiiice!) (also, flip of the 2019 record)
2020 - .433 (26-34)

Worst winning percentage since the move to DC, were the season to end today.
