Ran out of gas. Davie should be ashamed for what he allowed to happen. Don’t bring him in this inning and it’s a good game to build on but nope.

Watching Aguilar try to chug home made this game worthwhile.  And give it up to Stras, he was like, on a field, pitching

The guy is cooked
I would say ran out of gas. Poor managing by Davie first game back should
Have never been put in that inning with the number of pitches he had thrown

Yea. He has pitched 26 innings over the past two years. Many thought he would not come back at all. Give him three or four starts and see how he is.

I don't even know that his pitches looked any worse that inning.  When you throw bp fastballs and have to rely on off speed pitches, it isn't going to be pretty the third time through.   It's really hard to envision how he can be more than a twice through the lineup, back end starter/opener going forward.

Poor management in general. He clearly needed another rehab start

Which is still better than anything anyone would
Expect after that surgery.
Hell he might end up a long reliever

Strasburg will improve. Can't wait for his next start. He is the guy who just pitched the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th.

Right, this was "must see" TV.  Unfortunately for Stras this was reverse Meaningless Stat Padding, which will hurt his career numbers.

Seems strange to send Strasburg out for the 5th with 60 pitches but at least have someone ready when he gets in trouble,  Oh well, basically spring training for him.

I have no interest in liking Jordan Weems.  Pitches like everything that's wrong with this decade's pitching and looks like an absolute dickhead to boot.

Can't help but wonder if we just witnessed Chapter 1 of a grand demise. Hope not, but he's going to have to reinvent himself to survive in the big leagues with a 90mph fastball.

Is there a metric for that? **insert Muttley here**

Yep, LM/H.  How many lawnmowers does he steal per haircut, not because he needs the money but because he's such a genius that he thinks stealing lawnmowers is funny and that his hair looks good.  Dude looks like the result of Beavis crossbreeding with a horse.

Espino's breaking ball has some nasty late action on it, and he apparently didn't attend the Jordan Weems school of pitching and realizes that you're allowed to keep it in the air a full 60 feet 6 inches.
