well, at least you got meat out of this. Too bad the Mets are loading up on steaks too.

It was delicious.  First gameday steak of the season.

LOL And Fedde is the butcher cutting T-bones 3 inches thick! 🥩🥩🥩🥩🥩🥩

Just going to games to enjoy the outdoors and to simply watch a ballgame. This group is going nowhere so I’m okay with losing on the road, play hard at home, and draft Dylan Crews in 2023.

Go Nats!

Let Voth finish the game. It's a loser.

Correction: 10.13 ERA. He has thrown 21 pitches to get 4 outs, so give him another 3 innings.

Fedde must have been pitching with a swollen head tonight after reading all the press clippings from his Dodgers shutout.

Every time I start to think Fedde might be a decent enough #4 or #5 guy he does this. Every time!!!  :donkey:

Fedde ought to always be the guy competing for number 5 starter. Joe Ross would be number 4, if the baseball gods had been kind. Instead, Joe is off to another TJ.

Game was over when the Nats Twitter account tweeted “we’re in Long Island”

Queens isn’t on Long Island, and it’s “on” not in.

It’s physically part of the same landmass. But Long Island is Nassau and Suffolk. Queens and Brooklyn are part of NYC.

Queens (Queens County) and Brooklyn (Kings County) are both on Long Island. So are Nassau County, which attaches to Queesn on the west, and Suffolk, which is east of Nassau.

You can be "in" Queens while you are "on" Long Island.

From a long islander’s perspective, queens and Brooklyn are not Long Island, if they were, the Islanders would still be playing in Barclay’s  :)

When I lived in Manhattan, I had a girlfriend who lived on Russian Parkway in Brooklyn. Her life pretty much revolved around home in Brooklyn, school/work in Midtown and the F train in between. Since I was the idiot who kept a car in the city, we went for a drive once out to Robert Moses State Park. She remarked that she'd never been to Long Island before. I got a kick out of that, since she literally lived on Long Island. I quite understand how locals consider Queens and Brooklyn as somehow separate from the rest of Long Island.
