About the only change to the line-up, other than moving Escobar to ninth.

Bell's was a "productive out"; it was not a "very productive out", contra Bob.

I suppose complaining about pablum from Bob, or indeed from most sports announcers, is a fool's errand.

So how long do we continue using a sub-.200 hitter at DH?

It’s just pathetic watching Cruz K all the time. He should retire.

He's actually hitting .297 in his last ten games.

2 out hitting with RISP.  That seems uncommon.

Did anyone hear Mattiglys explanation why he pulled Poteet after 4 2/3 innings with one hit against him

Anyone else impressed with Gray getting out of trouble in the 4th? Sign of growth not melting down

Keibert turning into a nice all around player. Probably a 100+ wRC+ player with average d at a premium position

Edit - 101 wRC+ after 3rd PA today

Ok, goofy prediction time : Ruiz and Gray compile more WAR with the Nats over their time here (total years of team control) than Scherzer put up in 2 months with the dodgers and Turner does in 2 months last year and a full season this year.

heck, that's not ambitious. I will say double the WAR. That's saying they will put up at least 20 WAR in their time with the Nats

I suppose there's a slim chance the Nats will be good sometime in the next few year and one or the other could be trade-bait themselves for a stretch player.
