A four day turnaround: Denver-Boston-DCA-Austin-DCA
Lock threadhttps://streamable.com/iatgyy
Reading a play-by-play from a New Senators' win is more exciting than an off-day, and more pleasurable than most 2022 New Nationals' games. Here is one, thanks to Jim Casey, who runs a Facebook site on the Expansion Senators. He looks for a win on each day. Here is April 25, 1969, a day when Frank Howard went 3-for-5 with a home run and four RBI's. Jim Hannan started, but was pulled in the 5th, replaced by Dick Bosman.https://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/CLE/CLE196904250.shtml?fbclid=IwAR2hEdl_driZ8C0dojbV8-pf1bakWih1S2oj7HHrutpuhXgIrH7lryASSCw
Feeding surrender monkeys cheese?
I thought it was Cheesecake eating surrender monkeys?.....
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheese-eating_surrender_monkeysApplies to the 2022 Nats post-Soto as well. CESM!
I can't find my earlier post, where I referred to 'cheesecake eating...' - it was in response to a 'Nationals News' story that the Nats players had held a cheesecake eating competition, in the Clubhouse, during games...Anyone else remember the story?...
I believe it was cheesesteaks as in Philly cheesesteaks. https://www.mlb.com/news/featured/mlb-philly-cheesesteak-eating-contest
Thanks, PWC - but that wasn't the one I meant. The story I'm thinking of was last season (at least - maybe '20).
