Clay has options. There's a pitcher they called up  but hasn't pitched much. I think he goes too

I remember the Wilmer F. non-trade. He has always been a solid ball-player. Not a star hitter, but good enough.

So Voth or Clay? which one leaves first?
Clay for sure then Machado. They keep Ramirez until Doo comes back or he’ll freezes over. Voth on the bubble.

This my friends starts the downward spiral. It is only going to get worse. This is the team that Rizzo built and he likes it as it is presently constructed. He just didn’t get any SP knowing that Stras Ross were questionable and Corbin was a  POS. He picks up both Sanchez’s and calls it a day.

Is this what "they" call a tank? What is the benefit of having the number 5 or 6 draft pick, rather than number 10?

Have the Nats been tied with the Giants in any game, at least after the first inning?

Oh they are going for much higher than that. Already have the number five this year.

I know about the number five. So maybe first overall in the 2023 draft?

or Aaron Crow
So maybe first overall? A chance for the next Strasburg or Bryce?

Probably not.  They really lucked into that pair. Lots of tanking competition also.

MASN ought to skip any post-game stuff today. Cut it right here and now, rather than force Bob or Kolko to talk about "small victories".

Incidentally, Nats fans, this is only five straight losses. Take a look at the 1959 team, which broke the MLB record with a 19-game losing streak. Somehow, that streak felt less hopeless. The Nats had Killebrew-Lemon-Allison-Sievers, plus Camilo Pascual. It felt like they could explode any game, and especially whenever Pascual pitched. (This is what you learn growing up a Washington baseball fan.)

But this team?

When we said we'd settle for a .500 season, I'm not sure this was what we meant...(wins .500 of losses...).

Anyway, the Giants aren't very nice opponents - they play Ruf.... ;) (sorry...)

to be a MLB manager, one has to attend 'Blather Training", in which candidates are taught how to fill 20 minutes of air time with meaningless statements...."....we gotta swing at pitches in the strike zone...'...he had a great at bat, swung at some pitches...;'...i'm proud of my guys...they compete (whatever that means), they grind, ground, groan, greened...anything with a 'g'....'they swung at a couple of pitches (87) a little out of the strike zone (pitches that bounced 5 times before hitting the batter in the on deck circle)...'we gotta score more runs in order to win...'...wonder what those trainers charge for this nonsense?

He did not look effective, that's for sure.

Another stabbing at the park after the game concluded. Now I get why one of the reasons the team is for sale.
