Rae Allen has died
« Topic Start: April 19, 2022, 03:37:08 PM »
Rae Allen has died. Anyone who does NOT recognize her should hang their heads and go back to those bush league fans in Baltimore. She was Miss Thorpe, the baseball writer in both the Broadway and movie versions of "Damn Yankees". And she could sing!

And, yes, that is My Favorite Martian beside her in the obit photo, sitting in the stands that pretend to be Griffith Stadium. The movie did use some bits of Roy Sievers hitting in the real Griffith Stadium, but the movie was shot in Wrigley Field, Los Angeles. This clip of "Shoeless Joe" was shot in LA.
