At this point in a regional, who do teams start and how many innings do they go?  This is Maryland's 5th game and UConn's 4th.  did Maryland burn it's #1 guy yesterday on a day's rest in either game yesterday?  I assume these games look like "bullpen" games with Johnny Wholestaff lined up to pitch.

Not sure. It’s a 7:00 start. Looks like there are ten games today out of the 16 regionals. Competitive. Oklahoma and Florida at 1:00 should be a good game as well as Vandy and Oregon State at 4:00.

VCU lost; but a good showing down in Chapel Hill.

UMD trying to battle back--down 10-8 now in the top of the 8th with a runner on 2nd and no one out.

VT will face Oklahoma.  First ever Super Regionals for the Hokies.  Probably will be lots of runs scored.  If UMD does not make it they can take solace iin providing the Hokies Head Coach Szefc.     Ironically he replaced Pete Hughes who left the Hokies for the head job at Oklahoma.  He is no longer there.  Not sure if Hughes quit or was fired?

Hokies lose game one. Maybe they can do a reversal of the softball team a couple weeks ago.

Notre Dame pulls the big upset. Peyton Manning there and sad. Vols fans wearing Classless vs. Catholics tshirts. Apparently they have the least class of any SEC fans and are embracing their trashiness.

Hokies stay alive by beating the Sooners 14-8.  Four HRs including 2 by Nick Biddison.  The championship match tomorrow at 1:00 PM  Not sure the pitching situation.  All hands on deck I guess.  Their ace Hackenburg started today but only threw 60+ pitches.  Number two guy Green went yesterday and struggled and only pitched an inning or so.  He apparently has blister issues.  They will score runs.  Need to keep OU off the board.

Texas A&M punches its ticket to Omaha.  The other three series that started Friday are all going the full three games.
