Series 50: Home vs Philadelphia Phillies

This series had some rain delays and weird scheduling adjustments in preparation for the rain which is the remnants of Hurricane Ian that only really resulted in the first game (technically game 3) being played in the afternoon on Friday rather than in the evening. Technically game 3 was played Friday afternoon and game 1 was played Saturday Afternoon and game 2 played Saturday Evening. To avoid further confusion I have the games listed in the order played not which rescheduled number they happen to be.

So we close the book on yet another season. This one was a sad one The Nats second worst season with the worst one being the Covid shortened 2020 season where we were only 26-34.

IF 2020 had been a full season would it have been the worst? Who knows? They only needed to have won 29 more wins to tie this season's record, then 4 more to tie the 2008 and 2009 seasons with 59 wins.

This also marks my last post for this Tracking Series. I am passing the baton to whoever wants to take it up next season. It has been fun, but as I have said on many an occasion it is a LOT of work to maintain throughout the season. You have to keep on your toes with it. Sometimes it becomes a real chore but when committed to it you gotta do it. I had a good 8 Season run with a record of 5-3 out of the team's 8-9-1 history (franchise history 2,766-2,952-5)
