My mother had aphasic dementia. It was awful. She was graceful and positive, but it was awful.
Yeah. Aphasia's a symptom, not really a disease in and of itself. I had a relative who had it as a result of a head injury. Like you said, it's no fun. I'm sorry your family went through that.
