I assume he doesn't lose an option by being on the 60 day IL so they will be on the same amount of control next year?

He's on the MLB roster, getting paid an MLB salary, so no, no option burned.

Noticed Adrianza was playing for Harrisburg. He must be on a rehab assignment. I hadn't heard about that yet.

So long, Joe Ross. Looks like TJ #2 for him and his contract expires after this season.

Yeah. He’ll be back soon and that’s the end of Escobar.

Read that he re-injured himself last night. I believe Escobar will be getting less playing time as DSG is heating up.

What's wrong with the famous Seth Romero? Charlie & Dave mentioned that Romero is out with a calf strain. That sounds less drastic that an amorphous back injury.

This team needs Casey Cox, or Bob Humphries, or Dave Baldwin, or Jim Shellenbach.

You left out Darold Knowles, the best of the bunch. Although Cox was pretty good doing double duty as starter/reliever.

I thought of Knowles, but I consider him the 1969 equivalent of a closer, even if Baseball Ref doesn't.

Did this happen?

Quote
Strasburg was expected to return right before the Nationals' game at Cincinnati on June 4. He will then pitch a scheduled bullpen, before Washington determines his next step to recovery.

Rogers to the IL.  Machado back up.

Also DSG to the paternity leave, and Fox back up.
