Also has a UCL sprain. So yes.

Yikes.  Muscle and ligament injuries in his throwing elbow.  Any chance the rehab will include learning to hit?

I’m hoping they move him off third

This injury comes at a bad time in his career. I think it's likely that Carter is now in Jurickson Profar territory, but like with 1/8 the actual talent Profar ever showed.

Harris seems to be having problems, which I guess is not unexpected.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2022/03/31/will-harris-thoracic-outlet-syndrome-recovery-spring-training/

Quote
“I’ve still got some lingering things going on I’m trying to figure out,” Harris said. “But in the meantime, I’m pitching in games and trying to get ready. Hopefully it’s stuff that gets worked out over the next couple weeks and I should be good to go.”

When asked whether he could specify what he was dealing with, Harris said, “I’d rather not talk about it.”

“I think anytime you’re hurt for that long a period of time, you can try to maybe change things because you haven’t had success in the near past,” he said. “But it’s been fine. I haven’t been trying to reinvent the wheel or anything.”

...

Manager Dave Martinez said Harris has been toying with his mechanics and arm angles during camp and admitted Harris’s mechanics were a bit off during his bullpen session Sunday. Harris has made just one appearance in a spring training game this year, giving up one run and striking out a batter against the New York Mets on March 19.

But we knew that going in to the season. Harris had the surgery before Stras, and we're now only finding out about Harris status.

Doesnt really matter to me, because I figured he was done anyway

I figure both are done. Maybe Stras will surprise me.

In general, the Stras news has sounded a lot more optimistic.

Sanchez has biceps tendinitis? I thought that was Thompson.

I thought he said Sanchez but it was hard to hear the question. You are right, Thompson was placed on the 10-day DL with a right biceps strain.  Hunter Harvey recalled.

I assume this is covid?

Dougherty:

Nationals have officially recalled outfielder Donovan Casey from AAA and placed Dee Strange-Gordon on the IL for an undisclosed reason. Dave Martinez said last night that DSG was sick and that he couldn’t say more.

Dougherty:
don't really need a team outbreak like last year.  Strange-Gordon is so old he's probably eligible for a second booster.

Davey says Strasburg is not yet facing live hitters but there are no setbacks.
