Corbin out with back spasms. I wonder if Gore takes his next start.

Does not quite line up. I think Gore makes another AAA start. Nats want him to go about five or six innings, and then one start in the majors.

Meanwhile, Cruz still has a problem with his left eye. From today's Post:

Quote
How did Nelson Cruz feel after batting practice Monday? Martinez said Cruz was having trouble focusing out of his left eye while hitting. He has been sidelined with eye inflammation since Sept. 13 and has been taking medicine to address his vision. Martinez said the team will reassess Cruz’s status in a day or two.

article on Doo's recovery.  He is progressing to the point he'll be able to start throwing 3rd week in October.

If that goes well, bullpens are penciled in for mid-to-late January. If those go well, he hopes to show teams video and data that illustrates progress. And what he hopes more than anything is that the Nationals call again.

Oh good, so he'll be back with the team in time for the World Series!  :?
