Andy is the master of halftime adjustments. And apparently Spangnoulo is also.

Mahomes on one leg > every QB other than Mahomes on two legs

Ticky tacky call. That’s game.

Awful call but probably wouldn’t have mattered

Well they would have had 90 seconds instead of 4.

incredible. I've seen 3 replays and haven't seen a grab yet. I figured a flagrant Jersey tug had to be called but nothing.

Really bad call at that stage of the game. You have to be sure you saw a hold.  Give Andy and Mahomes all the credit.

The refs just giving the fans what they want. They know who the real stars are. Seriously, the NFL should fire the whole crew tonight. The most exciting Super Bowl in years ending like that is a shame

I saw the ESPN NFL Matchup show today. All three hosts picked Philadelphia to win. But during the show, they showed two clips of Chiefs' wide receivers getting big catches because the defense was more worried about covering superstar TE Kelce.

That was prophetic. Two TD receptions to unheralded receivers who were wide open, because of double covering Kelce near the end zone.

I get folks being upset about the call, but like always there's a lot more to the game. The Chiefs, with a one-legged QB, scored on every 2nd half possession.

They should never have a Super Bowl in that stadium again unless they fix the turf.

Yea but you know it would have been fun watching Hurts try and tie it up and then have OT. For the most part they let them play. I don’t recall any offensive holding calls. And then make that call at the end is just crazy.  Great game though. I think the previous KC Super Bowl win was also come from behind.

I knew they were doomed when all the Fox studio picked the Eagles. Well we will get me next year.

Does anyone remember the last halftime show without any guests?

I was hoping Eminem would show up and do Monster with her.

After the longest punt return in Super Bowl history, I thought that there is almost always a holding call on the returning team, to ruin it. Over many years, a lot of them were ticky tack calls. The replay showed some instances where it might have been called.

Weren't you arguing in favor of the ticky-tack holding call that decided last year's Super Bowl?  What goes around comes around.

I can barely remember what I did last week. At least on that one there was some contact. After looking at the replays of this one it was a phantom call. I didn’t say the call was why they lost the game.

Bradberry says he was holding JuJu: “It was a holding. I tugged his jersey. I was hoping they would let it slide."

This is why defense attorneys don’t let those on trial for murder testify on their own behalf.  He definitely put his hand in his jersey.

Chiefs do it again - a tough loss for the Iggles.  Over here, Sky Sports and NFL Game Pass decided to keep the full US coverage behind their paywalls, so we were left with NFL Network pictures and...a UK booth crew. :(  Such things shouldn't matter, but it really affected the atmosphere of the coverage.

A good game, but not great - the much vaunted defenses, of both teams, didn;t really show up. The outcome was that, by the end of the first, I was expecting an offensive slug-fest - a final score of 49 -45 wouldn't have surprized me. I thought the Chiefs would win it by observing the teams body language, after half-time. The Chiefs looked up-and-about, with an 'it's only six points' attitude. The Iggles looked like it was still the first half...For me, the key play (and thank you, Iggles coaching staff / Hurts) was the long bomb to tie the score, at 35. Spectacular, yes, but giving the ball back to Mahomes, relatively late in the fourth, was only ever going to have one outcome. Mahomes cements his place in SB history, with a come-from-behind-win whilst injured.

Good to see St KIlda's (ahem...) Arryn Siposs suited up for the Iggles... ;)

Congrats Natsie. I think the Chiefs won because of Mahomes and Andy making adjustments.  He’s very good at that as you know.  I’m in favor of a rematch next year.

Well he did hold him.  Good call by Reid to go downfield at a time like that rather than running the ball or going for a shorter pass.

Reminds me a bit of a US ref in a big World Cup game maybe in 2002 or so (give or take one) who made a call everyone thought was outrageously bad, with a lot of recrimination about how you could assign an American to a big game, that the next day, the definitive replay showed he made the exact correct call by the book.

Bad on Fox if they had the replay, which Perreira seemed to have seen, and they didn't show it.  I'm glad for the ref.  We can argue about whether it should have been ignored as low impact (like a lot of O-line holding calls), but at least it wasn't a phantom call.  As Perraira said, jersey tugs are almost automatic calls.
