Knee injury for kyler Murray.

Game highlight has been Peyton telling a story about Eli giving him an atomic wedgie and ripping his favorite underwear….three years ago.
for some reason, I could not find the Manning cast and watched Buck and Aikman.  They weren't speechless about the quality of the game.  Constant observation was basically there are so many bad teams this year, even among the playoff "contenders."  Said pretty much the Pats would be a joke 1 and done if they made the playoffs, which ain't happening because of their last 3 games.

They gave some props to NE's defense and the Pats rookie class, but Aikman in particular pounded on having a defensive coordinator calling plays.  He complimented Jones a bit whenever he threw an accurate ball past 10 yards. He's actually very accurate long when given a chance to throw. Aikman noted some of the boring screen passing game is due to the ineptness of the Pats O-line.  Got in a few shots at the left tackle Brown from the safety of the commentary booth. Hard man to miss.

Can't argue with anything that they were saying.  They have a decent shot at getting to 8-6, then they have Miami and Cinci at home and finish with the Bills on the road.  Their season was doomed by their performance against the NFC North. They got Detroit at the right time, but getting blown out by Chicago and losing 2 games they could have won on the road to GB and Minnesota sealed their fate.

Manningcast was on ESPN2. I thought Jones looked decent but both O-lines were overmatched. The Cardinals dropped a lot of passes that should have been caught, including one on a fourth and short. And the fumble by the Cards receiver,  I think in the 3rd quarter, was inexcusable as he ran with the ball away from his body.

I could see the Patriots beating Miami, but Cincy is playing lights-out football right now and beating Buffalo in Buffalo won't be easy. So maybe they finish 9-8. Not sure if that's enough to get them a playoff spot. Stevenson potentially being out hurts them as well.

The Mannings and Bill Simmons talked a lot about whether or not Brady would return to NE for one last season. I don't see it happening.

I don't see it either. At most, it would be a 1 day contract so he could retire as a Pat.

I thought I had tuned to espn 2 but I think it was either ESPN U or news because it was some other guys and gtaphics heavy.

SF would make sense as a last stop for Brady given he's from the area and wanted to be drafted by the niners.

SF just saw how washed up he is. I think he's done.

I mean he might be but he looked exactly like this on the Pats in 2019, turns out all he needed was a good o-line and some decent weapons and he was still Tom Freaking Brady. On the right team next year he might just still have it.

Can anyone win the NFC South?  Yuck. There does not seem to be as much media coverage of this as there was a couple of years ago when the NFC East was in a similar position.

I’m calling it now: Lions vs Jaguars in the SB. :)

The Patriots topped that. Did they not know the game was tied?

Eagles have basically wrapped up the #1 seed. Just need to win one of their final three games.

Thinking this has to be up there with Joe Pisarcik.  Worse than the Butt Fumble.  Butt Fumble, the guy didn't score.  Joe Pisarcik, a playoff spot wasn't on the line. Funny how the Raiders, out of hte playoff chase, went for a kick PAT and a tie rather than 2 to win it, while the Pats, with more at stake, felt they could not play for the OT.

The thing is, if the ball was going to be in somebody's hands at the end, Jakobi Myers would have been the guy.

That Pats ending is probably the dumbest conclusion to a professional sports event I have ever seen.

Still gotta go with the Seahawks not running Lynch against the Patriots on the goal line in SB XLIX

1978. Pretty famous.  This play is why, when you run the clock out, teams take a knee rather than hand off.

Butt fumble.  I think I forgot the touchdown.  Thing is, the butt fumble was a really good play by the defense as opposed to a gift, so for that, plus the impact on a theoretical playoff chance, I think the play yesterday was worse.

Is there a name for the stupid play yet?

neither the pisarcik play nor the butt fumble had playoff implications. This was worse (still not as bad as throwing on the goal line when you have marshawn lynch in the backfield with the SB on the line).

Pisarcik takes the blame but always looked to me like Czonka was as much at fault. Looked like Joe wanted to hand him the ball and he didn’t want it.

Trivia. Pisarcik later joined the Eagles so they had the only Polish American QB duo as far as I know.

Hurts out at least two weeks with a shoulder sprain. Minshew Mania this week. Will probably cost Hurts the MVP.
